Girls' Branson Trip

After the shower on Saturday, me, mom, Allison, and Ashley went to Branson for the remainder of the weekend.  We arrived in Branson Saturday afternoon around 4:30 and checked into the hotel.  After we took our things up to the room we went shopping at the Tanger Outlet stores.  We then proceeded to the Branson Landing where we did MORE shopping and ate dinner.  We were pretty wore out when we got back to the Hotel that evening.  After a good night's sleep, we woke up and ate breakfast and went to the Red Roof outlet.  This outlet mall didn't contain as many stores as the other, so we went back to the landing where we explored the other side that we didn't get to the night before.  We ate lunch at a burger place and shopped a little bit.  We were so worn out that we went back to the hotel and took a nap.  After the nap we ate dinner at Shorty Smalls, came back to the Hotel and got into the hot tub, and then crashed!

It was such a great and relaxing time.  There aren't many opportunities for just "the girls" to have a get-away, but we managed to make time!  We really missed Tilly and Leslie, of course, but they are down in Florida with Eric's family.  (Lucky, them!  The beach!)   It was really special to have this get-away with our mom, and we really had such a great time!  Thanks mom for everything!  Love you!!

Baby Shower--Russellville

This past Saturday a couple of my good friends put together a baby shower for Hallie Grace.  They worked so hard to make it perfect!  It turned out wonderful, and we received some really nice gifts!  The shower began at 10:30 with a brunch, and then I opened all of the wonderful gifts.  During the shower, the girls played a game which consisted of everyone having a clothespin and where no one was supposed to say the word "baby."  If you heard someone say the word "baby" then you could take their clothespin from them.  The person with the most clothespins at the end of the shower wins!  It was really funny, and difficult for some!  Enjoy the pictures!

31 Weeks Check-Up

I went to the doctor today and I'm measuring right between 31 and 32 weeks, blood pressure is great, Hallie Grace's heartbeat is great...so everything is great!!! :)  Love good reports!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful father's out there!  This is Matt's first Father's Day, (even though Hallie Grace hasn't been born yet), so it's special!  He is going to be such a great daddy!!

We went down to Lake Hamilton for the weekend with my family and enjoyed a couple of days staying in my mom's friend's condo.  It was such a relaxing time just laying out by the pool and just being together.

I just want to say that I believe I have the best dad around!  Bless his heart for raising 4 girls!  Dad, you did such a great job raising us and I love you so much!

2011 Smith Family Reunion

The Smith Family Reunion is every 2nd weekend in June on Lake Martin in Alabama.  Smith is my Nana's maiden name, so it's her dad's family reunion.  Nana's dad had 5 siblings, Gordon, EvaBell, Muriel, Murray and Claudine.  EvaBell and Muriel are the only one's living.  Aunt Muriel's cabin is the place we go to on the lake.  Aunt Muriel's son Lynn and his wife Gayle prepare such a wonderful lunch for us, and they keep the cabin looking beautiful!  It's great seeing all of the family we don't get to see throughout the year, and we have such a wonderful time eating and visiting and playing the famous card game, 'Blitz.'  Yes, we are a bunch of gamblers!!

This year, me and my mom and dad were the only one's from Arkansas that were able to go, but hopefully next year everybody else will get to!  Plus, Hallie Grace will be about 10 months so she will get to experience her first trip to the reunion!  Can't wait until next year!

Day on the River

Matt and I have recently formed a new friendship with Derek and Robin.  Derek and Matt are on the same crew, so they work together every week.  We have really enjoyed spending time with them, but unfortunately they're moving to Georgia in September where Derek will be working at a new Nuclear Plant.  I guess you could say that we're cramming in as much time together as we can before they move!  On the bright side, we now have a new place to go visit!  :)

Last week we went up to the Buffalo River in Jasper, Arkansas.  We ate sandwiches for lunch and then we headed on down to the river where the boys fished and the girls laid out and worked on our tan!  We stayed out there all day and then we ate at a little cafe for dinner called the Ozark Cafe.  After a long day, we headed back to Russellville, exhausted of course!  Very fun and relaxing day!

Doctor's Appointment

Yesterday Matt and I went in for a regular check-up.  29 weeks and 2 days.  Hallie Grace's heart was beating very well, and the doctor said I was measuring perfectly with my due date!  Everything is going perfectly and we will now be going to the doctor every 2 weeks.  At 34 weeks we will get our last ultra sound and they'll be able to tell about how big she is going to be at go time! :)

Also, we participated in our first childbirthing class last night.  It was from 6-8:30 and it was very informational.  We learned about the different stages of labor and delivery, types of pain medication, watched a brief video, and then we got to go in and see one of the delivery rooms.  We left last night with more information than we bargained for!!  We have 2 more classes left and I'm very glad we made the decision to learn more about what's to come.  It puts us more at ease knowing a little bit about what to expect.

29 Weeks & a 5K

This morning me, Jessica, Staci, and Jen participated in a 5K called "Mona's 5K Run."  Mona was a teacher at Dover Elementary who recently passed away.  She had a rough couple of months before she passed away, and because I was a part of the Dover School District this year, I really wanted to show my support for her.  All proceeds are going towards the American Diabetes Association.  Both of my grandpa's struggle with Diabetes, and hopefully one day they will find a cure.  So, I would like to say that we walked today for Pawpaw and Papaw.  Love you!

The ribbon I'm holding is actually for Hallie Grace, because this was her first 5K!  We all walked and finished in 59 minutes!  We walked at Bona Dea trail in Russellville, and luckily the whole trail is shaded so it was very nice.  Don't get me wrong though...We did sweat!

I'm 29 weeks pregnant today, so just 11 weeks to go!  I'm officially done working for a little while, and Matt and I are counting down the days until we can hold our little girl.  We are getting closer and closer!  We are feeling good, and this coming up Monday we will have a check-up and our first birthing class.  More info on that later!
