First trip to G & DiDi's

Matt had plans to go to the Travelers baseball game in Little Rock with some guys from work last night.  Since he was going down there we decided that he could go to the game and me and Hallie Grace could spend time with G and DiDi.  They had no idea that we were planning on coming down so it was a good surprise for them.  We showed up at mom's school around 1, and luckily she was just getting back to the office from lunch.  Hallie Grace must have had a full diaper because she teetee'd and it was leaking out of her diaper all over the floor!!  OOPS! We surprised G when he got home from fishing and work. Matt went to the game that night and we went out to eat at Denton's with Mr. Marty and Mrs. Robin.  We made a short trip because we came back home today, but we'll be back soon!
Ready to go!

Love my girl!

One Week of Pure LOVE!

1 Week Check-Up

Yesterday we had Hallie Grace's 1 week check-up.  She still has a little bit of jaundice, but it has gotten a lot better.  She weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. today, which is 10 ounces less than when she was born, but the doctor said that's normal.  They want babies to get back to their birth weight 2 weeks after birth.  He said that everything looked great, and she's beautiful!  Couldn't ask for a better report. :)

Monday Night Football with Daddy

After her bath, Daddy and Hallie Grace are watching their first night of Monday night football!  She loves him so much, and he is just ga-ga over his girl!  Love them!

I just have to say...

I just have to say that me and Matt are very blessed with the greatest family and friends.  We are so thankful for all of the visitors and love that has been shown to us over this past week.  We have had some great friends cook us dinner, and we feel like we have been taken VERY well care of!  I don't know what we would have done without my mom who bought us groceries, did our laundry, got us our meals together, helped me take baths, and more....Mom, words can not express our thanks to you.  Our family and friends just being here for us has been so great, and we just want to say thank you!  We love you all!

Hallie Grace's First Trip

Today we took our first trip since being out of the hospital.  I had to go see my doctor, and then Hallie Grace had to go see hers.  She wasn't scheduled to go to the doctor yet, but we were a little concerned about her jaundice.  She doesn't have it real bad, but she has a little bit of yellow in her eyes so we called the doc and they told her we should bring her in.  Her billirubin count was 7.7 when we left the hospital Thursday, and it's gone up to 11.  It needs to be going down, but the doctor wasn't concerned at all.  She said that this isn't uncommon and that I may want to feed every 2 hours to help the condition.  So....Matt is monitoring closely how often I feed her!!

Matt and I are loving being parents right now!  We love our little girl, and can't believe how much joy she brings to us!  Here is a pic from the doc today, and a few pics from the last few days.  Enjoy!

Hallie Grace is HERE!!

FINALLY!!!  Our little angel is here and she couldn't be more perfect!!  We are so in love with her, and can't imagine life without her after only 4 days.
Here is the breakdown of how everything happened...

At 1:45 Tuesday morning my water broke at home.  We had our bags packed and ready to go, so on to the hospital we went.  They hooked me up to an IV to monitor my blood pressure, heart rate, baby's heart rate, and contractions.  It ended up being a looooong day; a lot longer than we thought it would be.  Around 7:45 pm I was fully dilated and ready to start pushing, which made me very nervous!  After a little over 2 hours of pushing, our little blessing was born!  What a day!  We had a lot of family and friends waiting in the waiting room to meet our sweet Hallie Grace.

We stayed in the hospital Tuesday and Wednesday night and then Thursday around noon it was time to come home.  Everything has been going great, and we couldn't be happier!  She is just so precious to us and we love her so much.  Here are some pictures from the past few days, and of course there will be more to come!
