Saturday at Oaklawn

This past Saturday Matt, HG, and I met some friends at the horse races in Hot Springs.  We ate a yummy lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, and then off to the races we went!  I have no idea how to bet, but Matt did a little bit and won some money.  (Like less than $20!)  Hallie Grace just hung out in her stroller, and she even caught a nap!  We had a really good time, despite cooler than expected temperatures.

Happy 6th Birthday Jamison!

Matt's nephew Jamison turned 6 on February 16, so this past Sunday was his birthday party at his house.  It was a family get together, and the weather was so nice that we were able to spend majority of the time outside.  The kids rode four-wheelers and the horse (even Hallie Grace!), and the adults played horseshoes.  It was so much fun, and a very nice day.  Happy Birthday Jamison!

6 Months Old!

Well, our baby is half a year old!  She is growing so fast..(which is what I say all of the time!)  Some things our little 6 month old is doing:  TRYING to crawl, sitting up by herself, eating vegetables (just beginning), babbling, sleeping about 11 hours at night, drooling like crazy, taking 2 naps a day, and she's being such a good girl!  Love, love our baby!

Bee Mine! Happy Valentine's Day!

February 14, Valentine's Day, is not my favorite holiday!  I don't like all of the mushy, lovey pressure!  BUT, having the cutest little Valentine this year made the holiday sweeter!  Hope everyone had a great, and lovely Valentine's Day!  Me and Hallie Grace spent the day at home, while Matt worked...and then we went to Michelle and Nathan's house for pizza and game night... No Valentine pressure, just fun! :)

First Snow Day!

Yesterday Arkansas had its first snow of 2012!  We spent the day inside, because what all can you really do outside in the snow with a 5 month old??  We had to keep our baby warm and cozy indoors!  Since Matt had the day off, we started the day off with pancakes for breakfast--followed by a movie...chili for lunch--followed by another movie, chips and salsa for dinner--followed by bedtime!  What a great day!

A little bit of this and that..

Hallie Grace has found a new way of falling asleep which consists of her burying her head down, apparently to hide her eyes from the light.  It was too cute, I just had to get a picture!  Something we did this past Thursday and Saturday was we went and watched a little bit of Arkansas Tech Basketball...I have to get Hallie Grace prepared for her future! :)  Sunday we went to church, and it was the first Sunday for Hallie Grace to go to the nursery at our church.  The ladies said she was great!  Today we are enjoying a cold snow day by staying warm inside!  And....that's a little bit of this and that, that has been going on!

Splish Splash in the Bath!

Hallie Grace looks so cute sitting up in her little tub like a big girl!  We just recently took the little net off of the tub so that she can sit up.  She seems to like it alright because she always has that big smile on her face! :)

YAY! Allison passed the HESI!!

We are so proud of my sister Allison who passed the hesi nursing exam!  It is a very hard nursing exam, and you only have 4 chances to take it and pass-----AND she passed the first time!  Now she has to finish out the semester and graduate-then, she will take her state boards and become an RN.  So proud!  Our family got together last night at Fuji Japanese Steakhouse in Conway to celebrate.  We sat around the Hibachi grill while the cook cooked our food in front of us.  He was very entertaining, but HG wasn't too happy about the fire!  She cried a little bit, bless her heart!  We had a great time, and we were all so glad to get together for such a special occasion!
