36 Week Update

We went to the doctor today for our weekly check-up.  Everything is going well, and I am just a little under a centimeter...which doesn't mean I'm going into labor tomorrow or anything!

The past few days we have done a few more things for Hallie Grace.  Matt put the pack and play together and it is sitting beside our bed because we are going to use the bassinet part of it instead of buying a bassinet.  Then, we bought a wall decal that goes with the bedding and put it above the changing table.  The last thing I did was get "Miller" put on the camo diaper bag I got Matt for Father's Day, and I got "Hallie Grace" put on a pink blanket.

Now, we just sit around and wait for this little girl!

Family Weekend Fun

This past weekend we went down to my parents house to spend some good quality time with our family.  It was my sisters, bro-in-laws, and parents....AND....my nana and pawpaw, and cousins Lynn, Gayle, Hayden, and Parker (Harris Family) from Alabama.  It was a full house and a full weekend of togetherness!  The Harris's have been talking about coming to Arkansas to visit us because we only see each other once a year at the family reunion in Alabama.  So, our family was so delighted for them to visit us here!

Friday evening my dad took Lynn, Parker, and Matt to Lake Ouachita where a friend of his guided them around looking for Striper fish to catch.  The rest of us ate a yummy dinner at the house and visited.  Saturday morning Dad, Parker, and Matt went fishing again while us girls went out to lunch at a restaurant called "YaYa's" at the Promenade on Chenal in West Little Rock.  That evening we ate another delicious meal and then Sunday morning we ate breakfast at Cracker Barrell to end the weekend.  It was so great spending time together!

Harris Family...We miss you already and are so glad that you came to visit!

Good job Parker!

Nursery Update

Well, after all of the showers, we think the room is officially set!  I tried to get everything set up and ready, because it is getting closer and closer to the time when Hallie Grace will be here!  Because we have accumulated SO many clothes, I put only her 0-3 month clothes in the closet in her bedroom, and the other clothes in a different closet in another room.  She is one set little girl.  Enjoy the photos!

My new diaper bag---Thank you to my family + Christy! :)

We sat down last night and picked out the pajamas we want to take to hospital, and the outfit we want her to wear home.  Her bag is set, and we are ready to go!!

35 Weeks

On Monday we went to the doctor for a check-up and ultra sound.  Hallie Grace's head is down, and she is facing my back.  There was no chance of getting a picture of her face on the ultra sound, so I guess she's just ready to come out!  From all of the measurements, the ultra sound shows that she is already about 6 pounds 4 ounces and she is tall!  Healthy girl!  The appointment went well and we will be going every week now until delivery!  We are so excited.....getting so, so close!!!!

Showered with Gifts

This past weekend we had two big baby showers for Hallie Grace!  The first shower took place in my hometown on Saturday, and was given by my wonderful childhood friends.  We had a brunch at my cousin's house and we received some great gifts for our baby girl.  The second shower took place on Sunday in Scranton, and was given by Matt's Aunts.  Again, we received some great gifts and we had a great time!  By the time both showers were over, me and Matt realized that we now have a TON of stuff!!  Thank you to all of our wonderful friends and family who have helped us get ready for Hallie Grace.  We feel truly blessed.
This wreath was made by my sister Leslie, and will go on our door at the hospital.  I absolutely LOVE it and appreciate the time and effort she took in making it perfect!  Thank you Aunt Leslie!

The Hostesses--Love them!

Girl's Afternoon at the Pool

Something very special about Matt working at the plant is that we have formed close friendships with a lot of different couples. We do a lot of things with everyone like go to movies, have game nights, and go out to dinner.  A lot of us wives like to get together when we get  the chance and have get-togethers with "just the girls."  Today, Jen invited me and some other girls over to her house for a lunch and some pool time.  She prepared a yummy chicken salad for lunch, and banana pudding for dessert. She is a great hostess!  It was a nice afternoon with the girls, and I'm so grateful to have made the friendships I have. They are friends I will cherish for a very long time.

Fishy Bathroom Set

I know I didn't HAVE to get a new bathroom set because of Hallie Grace, but it was a lot of fun picking this stuff out!  We have one extra bathroom, so why not decorate it for her??  It actually will be able to last if our next baby, (here in a few years!) is a boy.  I think it looks fun, and hopefully she'll like it one day!!

33 Weeks

Ok, this pregnancy is lasting so long!!  We had a check-up today and everything is going great.  Hallie Grace's heartbeat was 134 beats/min. and I'm measuring perfectly; right between 33 and 34 weeks.  Our next appointment will be July 20 when I'm 35 weeks and we will be getting an ultrasound and they will check my cervix.  Then, I will be going to the doctor every week until time to deliver! Yay!  We are getting anxious and nervous!

Here's a little peek of what 33 weeks looks on me.  Feeling a little chubby! :)

4th of July Weekend- Lake Degray

For the past 3 years my family has began a tradition of going to the lake with some good friends of ours, Reggie and Gay Hill.  The first year we rented a condo on Lake Ouachita at Mountain Harbor Resort.  The past 2 years we have stayed at Iron Mountain Condos on Lake Degray.  The condos consisted of 4 bedrooms, a living room, and kitchen area.  Very roomy, but as you can imagine, they were pretty pricey so we decided to book 2 rooms at the Lodge on Lake Degray.  It's more hotel style.  The place was so nice with a pool, restaurant, and nice lobby where we could all spend time together playing games and visiting.  We may have been a little squished in the rooms with the amount of people we had, but we just learned that next year we will have to get another room!

The weekend consisted of going out on the lake, swimming in the pool, and enjoying spending time together in the evenings.  I believe that everyone had a great time doing what they wanted to do.  Tilly did excellent in the water!  She even rode the tube, which we all were shocked!

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights were the nights we all stayed, but me and Matt decided to stay Monday night as well.  We drove into Hot Springs and walked around the downtown area, and then we ate supper at Fisherman's Wharf on Lake Hamilton. After dinner we heading back to the lodge and enjoyed the Fireworks.  All in all, we had a wonderful weekend!

Can't wait for Hallie Grace to be here next year!!
